Apex Fun Run

Thank you for your gracious support of Traylor Academy and the investments you make in your children’s lives! We are so excited to introduce you to this semester’s only major fundraiser, the Apex Fun Run! The Apex Fun Run will last for 2 weeks and will kick off with a Pep Rally on Tuesday, November 1st at 2:55pm.

Please look for your child’s Pledge Kit that they will receive on Tuesday, along with an email coming from your teachers. Feel free to visit www.apexfunrun.com to hear about this interactive program that helps schools all over the country raise money, while promoting leadership and fitness in the classes.

This year's character theme is Apex Legends, where students will follow Tikes, Seeds, Specs, Jazz, and Wheels through the pages of their legendary adventure to discover JJ Cortez’s hidden treasure. Along the way these five friends discover what it truly means to be a Legendary leader:

o Learn

o Engage

o Give

o Empower

o Never Quit

o Do

Students are challenged to get pledges for the laps they will run on Thursday, November 10tl. Students run for 30 minutes, averaging 26-36 laps, with the maximum amount of laps being 36 (each lap is 1/16th of a mile). Sponsors can pledge $1, $2, $5 or any other amount for each lap students run. Families will receive an access code where pledges can be entered online. Funds raised this year will go for CHROMEBOOKS AND READING INSTRUCTION BOOKS.

ALL students participate in the fun regardless of financial giving, receiving Apex bands, race-day lap counters, and team awards. We invite all parents (we need volunteers!) to come to the Apex Fun Run and share in this great event! The times for the Apex Fun Run are as follows:

● Fun Run 1: Thursday, November 10th @ 9:15am (ECE, Kindergarten and 1st grade)

● Fun Run 2: Thursday, November 10th @ 10:30am (2nd grade and 3rd grade)

● Fun Run 3: Thursday, November 10th @ 11:30am (4th and 5th grade)

Help us be successful in our fundraising!

● Connect your child to potential sponsors (family/friends/all over the world!) to acquire pledges.

● Ask about the “Legend” character lessons; download the “Apex Fun Run” App!

● Come to the Apex Fun Run (WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!) -- Don’t forget to invite others to attend our fun-filled community event!

● Help volunteer for the race! We need parents to help cheer on students and mark laps. If you would like to volunteer for your student’s race please be on time to the race and check in with an Apex Fun Run member.
